Our Core Business
Its a family run business with combined experience of 60 years in the scrap metal trade.
Earlier the business was founded by CHAIRMAN P M THANGASAMY CHETTIAR under the company name P M THANGSAMAY CHETTIAR & SONS and continued by His Son Thanicody Chettiar. The conglomerate started the journey from sungai petani as petty traders and developed the business throughout peninsular and east malaysia. Its was developed from the scratch as second hand dealers started with gunny sack and second hand bottles in earlier and slowly developed scrap metal business in domestic and other entities started supplying vehicle spare parts.
Due eras changes the organization developed business into government tenders, hardwares, industrial equipment & machinery, and expanded the scrap metal business both ferrous and non ferrous by collecting goods throughout the country and supply to various industry according to the needs.
The organization also jointly ventured demolition projects and also facilitated factory clearance with other teams.

The roots of our family business stretch back 80 years in the scrap metal trade, originating with our esteemed founder, Chairman P M Thangasamy Chettiar, who established P M Thangsamay Chettiar & Sons. From its inception, our enterprise began as modest traders in Sungai Petani, gradually expanding our presence across the Peninsular and East Malaysia. Starting from scratch as second-hand dealers, dealing in items like gunny sacks and used bottles, we steadily transitioned into the scrap metal business, serving both domestic and industrial clients.
Adapting to the changing times, we diversified our portfolio to include supplying vehicle spare parts and ventured into securing government tenders, hardware, and industrial equipment and machinery. Our operations evolved to encompass both ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal, sourcing goods nationwide to cater to the diverse needs of various industries. Additionally, we forged partnerships for joint ventures in demolition projects and facilitated factory clearances, collaborating with other teams for mutual benefit and efficiency.
Under the stewardship of Chairman P M Thangasamy Chettiar’s son, Thanicody Chettiar, our family-run conglomerate has navigated through eras of transformation, staying resilient and responsive to the demands of the market. Today, our legacy stands as a testament to our dedication, perseverance, and commitment to excellence in the scrap metal trade and related industries.
